Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well but for now please look for dogs on your coast.
For your convenience we also have PAID TRANSPORT companies that are available for a fee to get "your" new addition to your area on a guaranteed date.

BEING FOSTERED IN KY

RUBY, has now been our longest foster. For that reason, we are asking for everyone interested in adopting to take a second look at her. She is with a foster family in KY that has other dachshunds and a small child but the small child as always been around foster dogs so she knows how to treat them. RUBY is fine with her but we are thinking she might be better with older children or no children. We do want Ruby to have a fenced in yard. She is very, very sweet but a little on the shy side so will need time to warm up to the family. We don't know about cats. We think that Ruby would be fine in a crate but the foster family does not crate her when they go away. She is not distructive and they just babygate her in the kitchen. If you would like a sweet sweet girl to add to your family please consider Ruby. She may be a senior but she is in excellent health. She is UTD on all shots, on Interceptor and Frontline.
