BIO:

Look DEEP into my eyes and tell me you wouldn’t love to adopt me!!

Hi, I’m Buddy!  I came into rescue with my brother when my owners went through a divorce and neither of them could take me where they were going.  I’m doing very well here and it was a good idea for the rescue to split me and my brother up.  We had a power struggle between ourselves and now I don’t have to do that.

I’m a sweet boy and get along with others very well, but I want my own home.  I’m looking for someone that will love me for the rest of my life and give me a fenced yard with a female or passive male to spend the rest of my life with.  I love attention and will do everything I can to get yours.

I love going for walks, so if you need a walking buddy, then I’m your man.  I did have a bit of a weight problem when I came in but rescue worked really hard and now I’m at a good weight.  My forever home must continue to maintain a healthy weight in order to prevent any possible back issues due to over-weight.

I would love to grace you with my presence for the holidays, whatcha think? Are you game?

If you want more information about me in all my awesomeness, just contact my foster mom, Diane, at aadrpresident@gmail.com!

More about Buddy #17......TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
