About TEDDY...FL

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
NAME.......................TEDDY DACHSHUND.........PURE/TWEENIE COAT.........................SMOOTH COLOR.....................BLACK AND TAN AGE...........................11 MOS WEIGHT...................14 LBS CONTACT nashcat2@bellsouth.net adoption fee.............275.00+10.00 chip fee Teddy was an owner turn-in to a shelter due to he kills kittens and chickens so someone with either of these is discouraged from adopting Teddy. With that out of the way Teddy is about the sweetest guy in the whole world. He loves his human foster family and follows foster mom around everywhere and loves to cuddle. He rides fine in a car and is house broken to a doggie door, he would however need further training if you didn't have one. Teddy is very laid back and is not a barker. His legs are a tad longer than a regular dachshund meaning he's just poorly bred but he more than makes up for it in sweetness. He is UTD on all shots, rabies, bordetella and heartworm neg. He is now on Interceptor and Frontline. If you are interested in Teddy please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application and put his name on the application. If you want more info please e mail foster mom. Home visit is required and out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome.

Not Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
