Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well but for now please look for dogs on your coast.
For your convenience we also have PAID TRANSPORT companies that are available for a fee to get "your" new addition to your area on a guaranteed date.

BIO:

TUCKER was turned over to us by his owner because she was going thru a divorce and just could not keep them. He was turn over with his brother TURNER and his sister SISSY. Their mom as a pure bred black and tan dachshund and the daddy was a red beagle mix. They have all the dachshund traits but just are a little bigger and longer legs than a dachshund. Having the longer legs means they won't have a back issue that the dachshunds have. TUCKER is very laid back and sweet loves to be with his people. Likes to play but is not wild like some pups can be. He'll settle down and sleep at your feet or in your lap if you'll let him. He is very sweet and deserves a great home with another dog that he'll be able to play with and a fenced in yard. He caught onto the doggie door very quickly just by watching the other fosters going in and out. Now he does it like a pro. Sleeps all night long in the big bed.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
