Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well but for now please look for dogs on your coast. For your convenience we also have PAID TRANSPORT companies that are available for a fee to get "your" new addition to your area on a guaranteed date. Thank you for your interest in a rescue!

BIO:
BRITT was surrendered along with LilBit from a breeder's husband when his wife died. She took care of the dogs and he didn't have time to mess with them so he surrendered them all to a shelter in Hopkinsville, KY and they in turn contacted us to take these two. BRITT has not been socialized so she will need time to warm up to her new people. Once she does warm up to you she is very very sweet. She is working on housebreaking but again remember she was a breeder dog. She came to us at 10 lbs and we are trying to put some much needed weight on her. She should be from 12-13 lbs. As you can see from her pictures she has the cute little brown nose. She is not leash trained so we think a fenced in yard would be best for her and another young dog so she can learn to be a pet and not a breeder. We have her started down that road now it's up to you to finish and see the end result and see what a great pet she will be.
She is crate-trained and this is good for trying to teach her about pottying outside. We don't want to see her in a crate much of the time because we think she's spent enough of her life in a crate now she needs to be free!! Will you be the one to give her love from here on out??
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
