Hello their my name is Angel!   I was given this name from the good lady that found me in the street lost and trying to get home. This nice lady called AADR and they took me in.  We don’t know anything about Angel’s life before but I can tell you a lot from having her now as my foster.  Angel is a sweet heart and gets along with everybody.

Angel is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, had a dental and lost most of her teeth but all you have to do is soften my dry food and I love it.  My foster mom has 4 doxies in her home which I love running with them, there are 2 cats which don't bother me at bit.  I do love to ride in cars, walk good on a leash, play with my toys, either sleep in my crate or sleep in the big bed with everyone else and yes I like being in the big yard running around.   I very much love to be in your lap so if you’re looking for a lap partner please look at me, because I might have some age on me but I am still young at heart.  What I really would like is a Furever Home of my own.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
