BIO:
Has to have a fenced in yard!!!

HI! My name is Zoe and I am looking for my forever home. My foster mommy tells me that I am the sweetest and gentlest little girl she has ever known!! I love playing with my foster brothers and sister in the back yard, under the bed, on the bed and anywhere else that they will wrestle with me. My foster family has a cat and I have seen it but it really doesn't interest me that much. I have said hi to it and didn't try to eat it so my fosters tell me that's a good thing. I have an 8 year old human foster brother and I love him. We get along really well. I am working really hard on this housebreaking trick. I do really well if they take me out on a schedule. I do have a doggy door at my foster house and I really like coming and going as I please. I love laying outside in the sun and working on my tan!! One of my favorite things to do is to take my foster family for a walk. I have this leash thing down pat! Since I didn't have much human contact before coming to AADR, I am really loving this snuggling and scratching stuff! I love to curl up in my foster mommy's lap and fall asleep. I also really like to sleep under the covers in the big bed, snuggled right up next to my foster daddy.

As much as I love my foster parents, I would really love to find my forever home. I want to find someone who will love me as much as I will love them. Please give me a chance....

More about Zoe number 6.....TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
