BIO

My name is Sassy because I am a real cutie pie and, my name fits me. I love to be held and enjoy being the center of attention. I am housetrained if you keep me on a schedule and try my best not to have any accidents. I really enjoy being with my people, I am so tiny my foster mom carries me in her purse.  I’ve had a little bit of a rough start, when I was younger I suffered major trauma to my left eye and I am blind in that eye. For this reason I am considered a special needs adoption. I am very low maintenance and enjoy taking a bath.  I am current on all my vaccinations and just had my teeth cleaned. Tracypgp@yahoo.com if you have any questions. Please consider adopting this great dog.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
