Happy Tales

Every one of these Dachshunds has been rescued by an angel...

Harley's Brave Journey   Harley's Story is a great inspiration to AADR because it shows that no matter how desperate the situation, saving one life makes the ultimate difference. DeeAnn, Harley's foster mom, has included her personal account with Harley's amazing story and where he is now.Harley was found homeless and sick. He only had a 50% chance of survival. Now he is living a life of true happiness and contentment. Read More...

Ernie

I just wanted to give you an update on Ernie. He is doing great!!! He is well adjusted to his new forever home and loving all his new experiences. He is very well taken care of and loved. Ernie has a great dispostion too....he has been so well behaved! I don't have any questions thus far but I will definitely let you know if anything comes up. Ernie goes for his first vet visit in Philadelphia tomorrow. Thank you so much for your concern and time with all of the dachshunds! I am very grateful to be providing Ernie with his loving forever home. :) Attached is a recent picture of Ernie at the house. Thanks again, Allison

EVA...MA

(Eva is the dark, both dogs adopted through AADR) I just wanted to let you know that everything is still going great with Tommyand Eva! He's actually laying across my stomach while I am typing. Eva just adores him, and she jumps into bed with him every night. We bought them their own beds and for the first two weeks the both slept in their own beds, but now Eva tries to crawl into whichever bed Tommy gets into first! Her walking has greatly improved and she is doing much better. We have been putting both dogs into the basement during the day with a big carpet, tons of toys, and beds, blankets etc. It is like a big dog playroom down there. We have had several days without accidents, and today Eva even went on one of the peepee pads! Big progress! We hope to "graduate" the dogs to the upstairs soon! I just wanted to send you some pics, as I am sure you miss Thomas! Holly
