BIO: NEEDS FENCED IN YARD

Hello, Abbey here!  I was rescued from a puppy mill as a breeder.  I don’t have any fear issues, but it is clear I have been neglected.  Once I find my human, I will never leave their side.  Another name for me could be "little shadow".  I get very sad when I am left alone so having a brother or sister would be best for me.  When you leave and come back, I will always greet you with so much joy and many kisses so you will always want to come back to me.  I like to go potty outside and LOVE getting treats for it.  Please go outside with me and make sure I do my business because I get distracted by birds and squirrels and sometimes forget to go.

I have so much love to give, and really am a sweet little girl.  I just want someone to love and to share a nice warm bed with!

If you have any questions, please contact my foster mom, Leah at Leahraeclark@gmail.com.  I’ll be waiting to hear from you.  I will also be posting updates as I settle into my foster home.

More about Abbey.....KY

Good with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults, Affectionate, Needs a companion animal

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
