Tracker has lots of joyful energy to share. Tracker loves to go on walks. When he is in the mood he will play tug-of-war and fetch for a bit. Tracker enjoys sleeping anywhere in the house and especially likes to be close to his human.
He is so excited to see you each time you come in the door no matter if all you did was take out the trash or have been at work all day.
Please consider this amazing little guy to come live with you. He is so looking forward to a forever home.

Tracker came from a kill shelter in Middle TN where his owners dumped him, no reason given. Tracker is a fun loving guy, loves strangers, kids and other dogs. He loves to play ball and will play fetch with you and bring it back, most of the time. For that reason we want him to have a fenced-in yard so he can run and play. The way he acts it’s hard to believe he’s six, but he could be younger. Tracker loves a lap and at night when things wind down, he’s ready to settle on your lap for a nice nap. He would also love to share your bed but is just as happy sleeping in a doggie bed at night. We can’t say enough good things about his attitude; he’s just a reat guy! We can’t stress enough what a great guy Tracker is…he would do best with another dog. E-mail Tracker's foster mom for any further details about Tracker. Thanks for thinking of rescue. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
