BIO:  What a beauty this puppy is who is ½ dachshund and ½ labrador. Liddy was saved by AADR from a shelter in Tn.

Liddy gets along great with our three dachshunds. Two of them will play with her as they fight & run each other. It is so fun to watch them. She loves to play with all the dog toys and occasionally her foster mommy & daddy’s house slippers! Liddy adores our next door neighbor cat who visits us often. She wants to give him kisses every time he comes over. He tolerates her as he knows she is a puppy.

We are working on her potty training, but she is doing well in such a short time. She will use the puppy pads to pee on. Thus far she is not much of a barker at all like many doxies are. Liddy is loving & wants to please.

She will make a great addition to any home who wants a cute and smart doxador. Her markings are so unique and beautiful! Her black coat is shiny and the brown is a goldish brown & of course the white-bright white! Liddy will make you a proud doxador owner!

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If they choose transporting by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.

We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 35.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 35.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.

To understand the adoption process through AADR please visit the Adoption Information.  Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3.

If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and then you can complete an Application.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.

More about Liddy...VA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
