BABY DOLL came from the same family that MAGGIE MAE and ELVIS JR. came from. The Brown's found themselves homeless with this economy crunch that we are having. They hung onto their dogs as long as they could but finally had to give them up to rescue or lose them to the pound. BABY DOLL was pregnant but lost all of her pups because she didn't have the care that she needed while she was carrying them. We have gottne her spayed and a dental and she is ready to go on to her new home. We think a home with another dog or even by herself she would be fine as she just wants love love and more love. She is friendly and gets along with other dogs and we think kids over 8 would be great too. Not sure about cats. If you keep her on a schedule she is housebroken and she is cratetrained. Please help BABY DOLL find her LAST forever home.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
