Abbie is a wonderful little girl. She is a tan wirehair. Abbie loves to chew like all puppies at this stage. She was born in foster care while her mother was here so we have her exact DOB. Abbie loves to cuddle and have lots of attention. She is the lover of the bunch.

Abbie has not worked on potty training much just yet. She and her littler siblings are now eating well on their own and no longer nursing. Momma is still teaching some manners.

Abbie would love to have a home where someone is around during the day to help her potty train, and play. Since she is so young, she cannot hold her bladder too long. Please think about adopting this precious little girl.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about ABBIE...OH

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
