Hi, my name is Tulip and I’m a bit of a tom-boy if I do say so myself.   I like to take the boys on and I can hold my own.   I love sleeping in a puppy pile with my sister, Whitney, and my two brothers, Zach and Zeke.   So, if you’re going to adopt me, you have to have another younger dog for me to cuddle and sleep with.   I want a fenced yard too so I can play in the yard with you watching how fast I can run!   Please adopt me... you won’t regret it.

I’m Tulip’s foster mom and she is sure a doll with her one all blue eye.  She will require some grooming since mom was a smooth coated Dachshund and dad was a white Maltese.   The puppies came from AL, the product of a broken home, and they decided it was best for them to find good homes so they were turned over to rescue.   These puppies are all so sweet and we are going to make sure they go to the best homes.   If you want more info, please contact me at aadrpresident@gmail.com and I’m happy to give you any info I have on these sweet babies.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
