BIO:  Bradley needs a fenced-in yard!

Hi, My name is Bradley and I am one cool dude!  I am a red smooth-haired dachshund who loves to play.  I would be best with another dog that will play with me, as I have a lot of energy.  I am really sweet and my foster mom says I am a professional face licker!  I just love to give kisses.

I am potty trained and I use a doggie door here at my foster home.  I have free range of the house and I have dogs to play with here.  So, I am used to that.  I am best in a fenced in yard because I am real fast and don't want to get lost.

I am easy to get along with and have no aggression whatsoever.  I love to snuggle under the blankets too.  I will go into a crate but I don't like it.  So, it would be best if I go to a home that will give me room to roam the house.  I am not destructive at all, unlike my foster sister...she chews everything!

If you have any questions, send my foster mom an email.

Good with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
