BIO:  Moxie came in with another Dachshund as a stray in Pegram, Tennessee. We pulled them out of the shelter and now they are looking for a home.

Moxie is a happy girl; loves, loves, loves, her people and will follow you all over your home and fenced yard.  Being a Dachshund, she will need a fenced yard and never allowed off leash. She will take off, be gone, and won’t look back.

She’s great with other dogs but we don’t know about cats. When you sit at night to relax, Moxie will be right there relaxing with you.

She will need further work on house training but she is motivated by food which will be helpful.  If you go out with her, she’ll do her business.

This little girl deserves a great home, is that yours?

More about Moxie in TN

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
