Kenny has limited sight and some hearing...please give this sweet boy the great home he so deserves. Just because someone decided to bred dapple to dapple does mean he should not have a loving home. He does great with kids, cats and other dogs and LOVES people.
KENNY came from KY as an owner surrender, just didn't have the time for him any longer. He loves his people!! Does like play with the other dogs and wants to follow his human around all the time. He would be best with another dog so he could learn from them. He has already mastered the doggie door here and can find his way aroung the house just fine. We think he might have a little sight. He's working on house training and if kept on a schedule does fine. Doesn't care for a crate but LOVES to sleep in the big bed all night long right beside you. If you think you can give this specail little fellow a lasting forever home please apply. He'll give you years of love.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about KENNY

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
