She has now been spayed. Brea also is being treated for Ringworm but we have that under control. She is the sweetest little girl. There is no stranger that Brea does not love. She will be the first one to greet your guest at the door with a wagging tail and smiling face. She is house broken, loves kids, gets along with cats and other dogs. Brea still has a lot of puppy energy so she will need a playmate or a very extensive exercise program. Her favorite past time is chasing her foster mom's 4 year old son around the house playing tag. She is UTD on all her shots and on Interceptor(heartworm prevention) and Frontline. AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
