BEING FOSTERED IN TN
BREA came from LA from a shelter along with her puppies Jason and Sharky. She has now been spayed. Brea also is being treated for Ringworm but we have that under control. She is the sweetest little girl. There is no stranger that Brea does not love. She will be the first one to greet your guest at the door with a wagging tail and smiling face. She is house broken, loves kids, gets along with cats and other dogs. Brea still has a lot of puppy energy so she will need a playmate or a very extensive exercise program. Her favorite past time is chasing her foster mom's 4 year old son around the house playing tag.
She is UTD on all her shots and on Interceptor(heartworm prevention) and Frontline. If you think you'd like to make Brea your next newest best friend please fill out an online app and be sure to put her name on the app. You will hear from us shortly. Please be advised we don't want our pets staying outside, they are inside pets and can go out to potty and play but can't be left out unattended. Thank you for understanding this. Also any dog that comes into rescue has issues that the new adopter has to work thru if you are looking for a prefect pet rescue is not for you.
Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
