About CAGNEY...CT

  • Housetrained: Yes
NAME.................................CAGNEY DACHSHUND..................PURE/MINI COAT.................................LONG HAIR COLOR.............................BLACK & TAN AGE...................................2-3 YRS GENDER..........................FEMALE/SPAYED WEIGHT...........................8 LBS ADOPTION FEE..............225.00+10.00 chip fee contact Diane at nashcat50us@yahoo.com CAGNEY AND LACEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER AS THEY ARE VERY BONDED!! CAGNEY came in with LACEY from a breeder in East TN. They were not in good shape but now that they have been her for a while they are in much better shape and getting healthier every day. Amazing what good food will do for a dog. Anyway these two are very sweet and friendly. Love everyone, will get in your lap and love on you but also let you know when it's time for them to eat. They are very bonded and one is not seen without the other. They are both UTD on all shots, heartworm negative and on Interceptor and Frontline and ready to go to their new home where ever that may be. If you are interested in adopting two sweet girls that love other people, dogs and probably cats please go online to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app and be sure to put their name on the app and please remember we can not adopt one with out the other as it would not be fair to put either of them thru that. They've been thru enough as is. Out of state and Canidian adoptions are welcome, we have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible. A home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
