About MOLLY...TN

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
Name ................ Molly Dachshund ......... Mini/Pure Coat ................... Smooth Color .................. Red Age ..................... 5 years Gender ................ Female Weight ................ 13 lbs Contact ............... Diane adiotion fee..........200.00+10.00 chip fee Molly came from an animal shelter in Tennessee. Apparently the previous owner was feuding with the other neighbors and was afraid that they may do something to Molly. So instead of chancing that he took her to the shelter. When she got there she was covered in ticks & fleas. She had been left outside her entire 5 years of life. That is where we came in. We got rid of all fleas & ticks, got her to the vet & up dated all her shots, and now she is as happy as can be. She LOVES the fact that she is now an inside dog!!!! She just lounges where ever she pleases. She gets along with cats, loves kids, and gets along with older dogs. All she has done since she has been at her foster home is enjoy the luxuries of living inside. She also likes to follow you where ever you go. Molly is a little over weight but with exercise & a good diet she will back in shape in no time. Molly will need to go to a home with at least one other dog. She HATES to be lonely & will cry if by herself. Molly is UTD on all shots, spayed, and on Frontline & Interceptor. If you feel that you can provide a good home for her put in an application with her name on it. We welcome out of state adoptions & a home visit is required. Working on the house training......

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
