About MORK...CA

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
NAME...............................MORK DACHSHUND................MINI/PURE COAT...............................SMOOTH COLOR...........................RED AGE.................................4 YRS WEIGHT..........................less than 10 lbs contact nashcat2@bellsouth.net MORK came in with Mindy and at first we thought they would need to go together but now after a couple of weeks it was decided that they didn't need to be. MORK seems a little depressed after his surgery but we are hoping that it's a passing things but we are keeping an eye on him. He does appear to be house broken and likes to nap on the couch under a blanket. He is a little stand-offish but is not shy. Other dogs would be fine but feel that it's best with no children under 10 and cats would be OK too. He is UTD on all shots and on heartworm preventative and on Frontline. If you would like to make Mork a part of your family please go online to www.ssdr.org and fill out an onine app and put his name on it as the one you are interested in. Out of state and Canadian adopters are welcome and a home visit is required. If you can't adopt then please consider becoming a member or fostering. We are always in need of foster home and members will to help with transports or homevisits. These too you can go to our website and fill out an application.

Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
