We are guessing someone dumped them off to let them fend for themselves. MS. WIGGLES was covered in fleas and has a flea allergy and has very thin hair due to all the flea bites but she's had a bath and is now on Frontline and already she is looking great. These two are very bonded and will cry and carry on if they are not in the same room. They eat, sleep and drink together. We think they may even be mom and son but not sure. They due appear to be housebroken and will go to the door when you ask them if they have to go out and they like to sleep either on the bed or beside it in a doggie bed. We are looking for a home for these two where they will never have to worry about being dumped again and can stay together for the rest of their lives. They are both very very sweet and the boy looks at you with the saddest eyes and I keep telling him it's going to be "ok", we'll find him a home where somone will love him enough to keep both of them. WILL YOU PLEASE BE THAT FAMILY AND MAKE HIS EYES HAPPY AGAIN????? AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
