REJECTED AGAIN. SOMEONE WANTED TO ADOPT THIS POOR BOY AND THEN KEPT PUTTING US OFF. THEY FINALLY TOLD US TODAY THAT THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR MIND, SO POOR TURNER IS LOOKING AGAIN FOR A HOME.....PLEASE DON'T DISAPPOINT HIM AGAIN!!
Turner needs to have another young dog to play with.
TURNER came from a shelter in southern AL where he was turned in as a stray. He is snappy when he first meets you but after he finds out that you are ok and that you are not going to hurt him he is a dream boy. He loves his people and will cuddle and play with you forever. He like to sit in your lap and sleep right next to you in the big bed. He gets along with all dogs but don't know about cats. Because he can be a little snippy with strangers we suggest NO KIDS. Once he settles in he's very friendly. He does apprear to be housebroken but will probably have accidents until he settles in. This boy is too, too sweet to stay in foster for long. He has to go soon as I am getting very attached to him!!

Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
