BIO:  Molly came from northern Alabama when her owner was trying to rehome her on Facebook and we were contacted by another rescue to see if we would reach out to the owner. We did and they agreed to let us take her. Her previous owner said she had separation anxiety and was incontinent, but we found neither to be true when she got to her foster home.  Sweet Molly:

• Needs someone who is home a lot
• Needs another dog
• Is housebroken if taken out on a regular schedule
• Loves to be a lap dog

Molly just needs someone who is home a lot and has the time to keep her on a schedule. She is a very sweet girl, low key, not a big barker, and gets along with all the other dogs at the foster home!

If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. 

We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.  If you choose transporting by either volunteers through our organization or by paid transporter, there will be an additional $45 fee added for the required Health Certificate. 

We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states.  If you have an issue with this, you need to take this up with your legislatures.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
