My name is Z8 (Watson) and I’m 3 years old and a love bug that loves to give kisses.  As you can see I’m a small boy and will sit in your lap as long as you will let me.  I was rescued from a puppy mill in Alabama and I’m so happy now that I’m going to get a forever home.  I am learning not to potty in the house and to take treats from my foster mom because it has taken me a few days to trust people but I’m finding out its great.  I enjoy playing with my foster doxie brothers and I have my own toys now.

I have manners and I know the word NO but I do not like CATS. I really need a forever home that I am the center of attention and I promise you will feel special every time you see me.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about WATSON Z-8...NY

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
