FOSTER HOME (NAME, CITY & STATE, ZIP, EMAIL) Christi Demyan, Charleston SC, cdemyan@kent.edu
Murphy was a stray found by a good samaritan in South Carolina. His home could not be located so he came to AADR.Murphy is wonderful in his foster home. He is very loving, and wants to be right by his fosters moms side all the time. He approaches other animals and people without any hesitation. He would do well in a home with or without other pets. Murphy loves to give kisses and snuggle and unlike other doxies he is very quite. He does not make a sound in his crate or when someone comes to the door. He is a very sweet boy and he deserves a great forever home!! Do you have a place for him in your home?
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.
More about Murphy
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
