Molly was surrendered with her two sisters and we chose her to foster because she seemed the least attached to her sisters. It has been a great fit with our family. We have two other dogs and Molly and Louie have become very close. She loves to go outside and play, one of her favorite things to do is lay in the sun. She is housebroken. She loves to cuddle in her blanket or in your lap. Molly loves to have her belly rubbed especially in the morning when she first wakes up. She also loves to go for car rides. She seems on the skinny side but she loves to eat. She gets along great with children. I have 2 children and she loves to be with them and also sleeps with them. She doesn't mind the kids holding her or carrying her around. My 6 year old plays house with her and she just sits on the bed covered up with the baby dolls, she is so sweet and she is also very quiet.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about Molly6...MA
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
