Simba(dad) and Yoda(son) came from OH when the owner passed and the family was unable to keep them. They are truly a bonded pair and where you see one the other is right there. They have been used to having someone home all the time so if you are newly retired, lonely and want an instant family then these two would be perfect for you.

They will be getting completely vetted very soon and then we'll put the completed bio out there for all to read but if you are looking for two very sweet boys then you have to look no further.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
