ChaCha is a 4 yr old chocolate/tan dapple. She weighs approximately 10 lbs and is full of love. When first meeting her, she may be a little shy. Relaxing, chewing on a nylabone is her favorite pass time. She uses a doggie door, but quickly runs back in to the AC with this summer heat. ChaCha is used to being around other dogs, but not with cats or children. Her cutest habit is a prance, holding up her right front paw. This means "Take Me!"
CHA-CHA is up to date on all shots, on heartworm prevention and frontline. She is ready to go to her new home as soon as you fill out the application and we approve you to adopt her. This one is a doll baby!!

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
