BIO:

Crate trained rides well in the car. Yes w/ cats yes with kids.  
Molly is a sweet girl who loves to play run and go for walks. She is a very high energy dog who would make a great addition to an active family. She can play for hours on end. But at night she is a cuddle bug. She can be a little skittish around men at times but once she is familiar with them she loves them (Molly currently  has 2 foster daddies and is very comfortable). She loves to greet you with a big kiss on the cheek. She will be a great part of the family.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.  
 
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
