BIO:   Bubby is still very much a puppy.  Wants to know what everything is and what everything tastes like.  Very agreeable disposition, plays well with his partner Hank and is accommodating to all other pets in the household.  No idea what he would be like around children but he does not appear to be aggressive.  He sometimes shares his food bowl with Hank but eats with a fervor that has to be seen to be believed.  Bubby is very well adjusted to the crate particularly at bedtime.  Bubby and Hank didn’t start out their lives together but have become very close.  It would be terrific if they were able to be adopted together.  Additional pictures of Bubby and Hank can be found at www.gorgeousoranges.blogspot.com.

More about Buddy....CA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
