FOSTER HOME Chris  cbly58@yahoo.com
BIO:
Bailey came to us from at least a second owner. She is a very sweet sweet girl but needs a home that she can call her own forever. The second home gave her up because she was not the best with their toddlers and they saved her from a home that didn't want her any longer. She took a couple of days to warm up but gets along with all the other foster brothers and sisters. We think a home on the quieter side would be good, she's fine with kids as long as they are old and knows how to treat a dachshund. She loves the fenced in yard but also walks great on a leash. She has one solid blue eye and looking for that special forever home, please be that home. Bailey is not a hyper dachshund and would do well in a home with older residence or a home with older kids.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about BAILEY 3...NY

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
