BIO:

MOLLY6 came from Middle TN where she wandered up on to a porch. She was then given to another person that turned her over to rescue. She is very afraid of men for that reason we think a home that will understand she’ll take a very long time to bond with the man if ever or a “WOMAN ONLY” home. Molly6 is a very sweet sweet girl to her foster mom. She loves to sleep in the big bed next to her foster mom and is happy to see foster mom when she comes home. She is used to the doggie door and is house broken but will use a newspaper if you have to leave her for some time. She is also crate trained. We say no children because of her timid nature, she would not handle the hyper activity of children. A home that’s on the quiet side is MOLLY’s cup of tea and she’ll set with you and give you kisses. She does fine on a leash but would do better in a fenced in yard. If you are interested in MOLLY please e mail foster mom for more details.

Molly needs to be kept on a strict feeding schedule with no extra treats or people food because she was a little on the heavy side when we got her. She looks great now at 12lbs but we want her to stay that way.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about MOLLY6...SC

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
