Buddy B was placed in a rural county drop box along with 3 other dachshunds. He had a respiratory infection, his skin and coat were in poor condition due to fleas, and he was malnourished. Thankfully, he was pulled from the shelter by good Samaritans who took him to the vet and kept him in their home until AADR could get him. Buddy B now has a second chance at a comfortable life, where he can be a part of a family where he is loved and well cared for.

Despite Buddy B’s hard life, he’s a sweet boy without a mean bone in his body. He is loving, has a submissive spirit without being overly timid, and would make a great addition to most homes! He would do very well as a companion to another dog, either male or female.  Buddy B has a great, laid back temperament and loves his foster mom who  enjoys watching his personality blossom. He is turning into a happy, playful boy that enjoys his foster brothers and is learning to play with and chase toys. He’s got a laid back spirit , isn’t too yappy, and has even charmed his way into sleeping in the big bed! AND, he is reliably housetrained when going outside with the gang on a regular basis---very  few accidents at his foster home when he first got here but not lately:-)

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
