ECHO came from an owner surrender in Clarksville, TN. We don't know why they'd give up this sweet, sweet boy. He is very non-aggressive and timid. He needs love and security and knowing he won't be dumped again at a shelter. He is very sweet and we think he'd be fine with kids as long as they know how to treat animals and are corrected if they are not!! He is too sweet for kids or anyone to be mean or cruel to him. He is UTD on all shots and heartworm negative and now on Interceptor and Frontline. He does use the doggie door so you probably just need a refresher course on housetraining and would do fine with male or female dogs. If you are interested in ECHO please e mail foster mom for more info.

More about ECHO...TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
