BIO: Ms. Squirt came from a backyard breeder who had to downsize. If rescue wasn't found for her she was going to be shot. So AADR was there in a heartbeat.
Ms. Squirt VERY timid. She is approx. 4 to 5 years old. She is missing most of her top teeth. (there are 6 remaining) But that doesn't stop her from eating. Ms. Squirt loves chopped carrots, cheerios, cubed cucumbers and regular doggie snacks.
Ms. Squirt loves the Big Bed and gets SUPER EXCITED when it's bed time. This is the only time I have found where she will lick your face clean lol.
Ms. Squirt is startled by fast movements, loud sounds and the wind blowing. She will cower against the fence or climb under a bush or even furniture to hide from it.
Ms Squirt MUST HAVE a fenced in yard, another small play mate (large dogs scare her) and someone who will be super patient with her. OH yeah, and let her sleep in the big bed.
Ms. Squirt is learning to play with toys and she totally loves the squeaky toys and destuffing them.
DO YOU HAVE ROOM IN YOUR HEART AND HOME FOR THIS TIMID LITTLE GIRL?

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
