BEING FOSTER IN MIDDLE TN.....

TILLIE was surrendered by her owner because she was no longer able to pick TILLIE up. Her owner felt that it was best for TILLIE to go to a younger family. TILLIE is a very very sweet girl. She had back surgery a few years ago, and as a result she does have a wobble in her walk. Acupuncture may improve her walk. TILLIE is housetrained and also uses puppy-pads. She is fine with other dogs, but prefers to be the only dog. TILLIE loves attention and watching animal shows. She likes to bark at other dogs on TV. TILLIE needs someone to be her buddy for life. She does well with males and females. If you are interested in making TILLIE your buddy for life, please fill out an application and list TILLIE as your buddy.

More about TILLIE...TN

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
