BIO:

Quincy was surrendered by his owner because the elder was going into a nursing home. Quincy is a very sweet quiet boy that just wants a lap or a family to love him. He’s very laid back, not a barker and would do well in an apartment or where he had to be walked daily or taken to the dog park. He’s fine with other dogs and cats, kids ok over 6 yrs. This boy truly has no issues and would make a great pet for anyone looking to add a new family member. He will have a fresh dental before he goes to his new home.

Quincy does need to lose about 2 lbs but we’ve already started him on a diet to lose that two lbs and get down to his ideal weight of 9 lbs. He’s the perfect dog to take anywhere and loves to go for car rides. Please give Quincy the home he so richly deserves. You won’t be sorry he loves giving little kisses to show you how much he loves you.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.

More about Quincy...TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
