BIO

Theona is a sleek little girl full of energy.  Her little body never stops moving and sometimes resembles a slithering snake!  She has adapted well with all the other dogs including the Rottweilers.  She is very obedient and loves attention.  She is a playful girl and would do best with a family that can entertain her high energy demands.  She is crate trained and house trained.  She is very obedient and easy to train.  Of course she is food motivated, which makes training her all the more pleasurable and rewarding.  She loves to cuddle and snuggle especially in the Big Bed.  If you think that Theona would be the perfect addition to your family please complete an online adoption application and let her know that you want to be her forever family.  If you have any further question regarding Theona, please feel free to email me and I will be more than happy to tell you more about this sweet little girl and send you more pictures.

More about Theona...NH

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
