FOSTER HOME Fredericka, mynewlyfe@bellsouth.net

BIO:

I am a loving, super shiny, bouncy, true mini-boy! My foster mom says my coat is like black satin.  I love to run and chase squirrels up the trees in my back yard, play with my doggie pack, ride in the car and sleep on the big bed. I follow my foster mom around a lot and it is getting easier to see her leave to run her errands. My foster mom thinks I would to better with other four legged friends around the house. When I look in the mirror, it looks like I need to put on few pounds to look my dachsie best, but everyone says I am a most handsome boy.  I just love life and am hoping for a forever home to show how much I have to give. Do you have some love and space to share with me?

More about Junior..LA

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
