BIO:
Poor Bridgett has been bounced around like a ball in her life going from one home to the next. Her foster mother has no idea why. She is a wonderful baby. She is a bit shy at first but is very quick to warm up. She gets along great with other dogs. She is being fostered by a foster mom and dad but seems to get along with everyone. She has been on a few outings with her foster mom and everyone that meets her has fallen in love with her. She is a sponge for affection. She can't get enough love and attention. She is doing great on her housetraining if you watch her. She will go to the door and let you know she needs to go out. She would probably do well with older children who know to be gentle with her. She is very submissive and will roll over on her back to be picked up and loved. Bridgett has been bounced around enough and she deserves much better. All American Dachshund Rescue is committed to making sure her next home is her last.
We have now been approved to adopt and transport into the state of Massachusetts but there are guidelines the organization and adopters must follow. If adopting and before filling out the adoption form please e mail aadrpresident@gmail.com to get the guidelines and expenses that must be followed.
More about Bridgett..TN
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
