We have discovered that Hannah is food aggressive to other dogs so would need to be fed separately from any other dogs you would have. We also think it best to go to a home with children that are 8+ and no cats.
She is housebroken and is timid at first but then warms up after several days. She has gotten along fine with male and female dogs here unless there is food involved.
She loves to sleep in the big bed and will sleep next to you all night long and not make a peep. Hannah would make a great companion for anyone that wants a friend to follow you everywhere. Please give her the home she so richly deserves.

More about HANNAH...CT

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
