BIO:  My name is Twinkle and I am one of 10 litter of puppies.   I was recently returned from my forever home.  I was adopted by a single mom and little girl who were 1st time pet owners and living in an apartment.  I don’t think my new mommy realized how much work I would be – especially after working all day and not having a fenced in back yard?   She really tried but it was just way too much work for her.  She realized I need a family with a fenced in back yard and someone who has time to teach me everything I need to know about being a “good” puppy.  Things such as; doing my business outside on a routine schedule, teaching me to sit and stay, using a puppy pad, and playing with me when I have lots of energy.  I am just a little puppy and I need lots of love and attention.  I do not bark much, I love to sleep in the “BIG” bed and I’m smart and learn quickly!!

If you are a loving family looking for a “happy” young puppy – Look no further – Here I am- just fill out the application and someone will call you. You can e-mail my foster mom- she has the answer to every question you may ask about me.  But what I “really” want/need is a loving family who wants to keep me “forever”.   If you adopt me I will make you proud of me, love you and be your best friend forever.   I can hardly wait to meet you – Love Twinkle.

If you can see it in your heart to give me a chance please fill out an application but please only serious applicants only as I do not want to be returned again.

More about Twinkle...TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
