BIO: Tucker’s mom got sick and had to go away for treatment and she didn’t think it would be fair to him to wait on her in case she couldn’t take care of him so she asked ssdr to find him a good home where he will be loved. He will be neutered on 4/30/08 and be ready to go after that but don’t wait he won’t be around long fill out an application today!

Hi, my name is Tucker and I’m a really fun guy I have tons of puppy energy and love to run and play but I will also lay with you and cuddle and give to plenty of kisses and some nibbles. My foster mommy says that my coat is a soft as silk and calls me fluffy cause all her other fur kids are short hair. I come with a bunch of toys and clothes and tons of other goodies that my original mommy bought for me. I can be a little stubborn at times like a true dachshund so an experienced dachshund owner would be best. But if you are looking for a totally cute and loving puppy I am your guy.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
