BEING FOSTERED IN MIDDLE TN

HOW CAN YOU SAY "NO" TO THOSE SAD EYES? PLEASE GIVE HER A FOREVER HOME!!
TOOTSIE came from Clarksville, TN where we were told if we didn't take her she was going to be taken to the dog pound. The new wife has asthma and they couldn't keep TOOTSIE. So up to Clarksville we went and got TOOTSIE. She is a sweet little girl but is on the shy, skittish side but very sweet. Because she is so shy we think she would do best in a home with no kids or kids over 12. TOOTSIE is fine with other dogs and cats. TOOTSIE is quite happy cuddled on your lap or in a doggie bed in the same room you are in but she does like to follow you around the house. TOOTSIE is housebroken and uses the doggie door and enjoys the fenced in yard. If you have a soft spot for a senior then TOOTSIE is the senior for you. She is in great health and has just had a fresh dental that she really needed. She is now UTD on all shots, heartworm negative and on Interceptor and Frontline. TOOTSIE would love to be your friend would you be hers?

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
