Snoop is a sweet, energetic boy who loves to play. He has tons of personality and is the most rambunctious of the 3 puppies. He came in with his mother Wendy and brothers Rascal and Peanut. He does great in a crate and goes potty outside. He isn’t house trained just yet, but he is doing well with his training. Once he is tuckered out, he loves to lie in your arms and fall asleep. He also loves to play with other dogs. His best friend, aside from his brothers, is a 100# lab. He can jump and pounce on her all he wants and she just takes it. Snoop’s favorite past time is playing outside, as long as it is dry. Snoop is quite dramatic when comes to getting a bath and getting his nails trimmed. With continued exposure he will do better. He behaves well for his brushings, even though his fur doesn’t get messy. The doctor estimates that Snoop will weigh between 11 and 13 pounds maturity.
Snoop would love a home with a family member home during the day to help him with his house breaking, and to play with him. Because he is so young, he cannot hold his bladder long and will need to be let out frequently. Snoop is not yet altered and will require a signed neutering contract and deposit. If you are interested in adopting this little man please fill out an application and list Snoop as your forever friend.

More about Snoop..TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
