BIO:

Sweet little Lacy! She loves to play with the other dogs and race in the wind in the fenced in yard. For that reason she must have another playful dog and a fenced in yard so she can feel the wind under her ears and she races around the yard. She could be a little shy at first but warms quickly when she finds you mean her no harm.

She gets along with everything here and loves the toys. Something I don’t think she had much of before coming into rescue. She tried hard to please and loves her lap time. Please give her a loving home for the holidays. She would do better with another dog.

Dogs are not Christmas presents to be cast aside in January, do not give dogs, cats or any living thing for the holidays, while you may feel it’s what the receiver wants very possibly it is not.

More about Lacy#2...NY

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
