BIO:

Sadie #2 came from a high kill shelter in AR, we are not sure if she was an owner surrender or a stray. What we do know is that Sadie #2 is a very sweet girl and gets along with the dogs in the foster home. She loves to sleep in your lap or be with you while you are out in the yard. For that reason we think a fenced in yard would be better for Sadie#2(no invisible fencing).

Since we don’t know anything about Sadie#2’s background we really don’t know why she ended up in rescue but we do think she’s younger than 5 maybe as young as 3 yrs. She’s full of energy but not overly so. She’s a beautiful elegant longhair that with a grooming she’d be gorgeous. She  will bark if the other dog(s) in the home starting the barking but for the most part she laid back but if someone rings the doorbell then she’ll let you know you have a visitor. This girl is too pretty to stay homeless please contact her foster mom for more details about this lovely girl.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
