BIO:

Harley is a 4 ½ month old dachshund that was surrender not due to any problem of his.  Harley is doing great in my foster home with 4 doxies male and female and doesn’t have any interest in the 2 cats in our home.  Being all puppy Harley is doing great, he master the doggie door in 2 days, sleeps great in his crate, eats along side all other dogs, loves to go for a car ride.   We are using treats to have him go outside to potty which he will do if kept on his schedule.  He is learning the leash which he is having a great time learning he can go exploring.  In our fenced in yard he runs, explores, play’s with his toys and loves being with the other doxies.  Harley is really a laid back puppy, and gets along with everyone that he has met.

Harley has had first outing at Petsmart and he was the hit of the store, he loved all the smells, all the attention and all the new toys he got.

If you have any other questions please contact me and we I will let you know what a great pup he is.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
